Mission and History

The Ameleb Club of San Antonio is organized to preserve the Christian Lebanese American cultural heritage of its members. It will provide a physical and social environment in which its members can realize and strengthen an understanding of their rights and responsibilities toward their common cultural interests as members of the Christian Lebanese American community in San Antonio, in the State of Texas, and in the greater United States of America.

The Ameleb Club was founded by a group of young adults of Lebanese-American descent in 1968 in San Antonio, Texas. They wanted to create an organization where they could socialize with each other free of the politics and opinions of the older generation. They invested great energy, imagination and passion into establishing their club.

In 1996, the Ameleb Club of Texas was incorporated as a 501(c)(4) corporation.
